The homepage of the Taylor Guitars website was outdated, with an overly long layout and sparse content in each section. This design created a disjointed user experience, making it difficult for visitors to access key information efficiently. My goal was to redesign the homepage to create a modern, user-friendly experience that prioritized accessibility, streamlined navigation, and improved functionality. It was also essential to ensure the design adhered to WCAG guidelines for inclusivity. I introduced tabbed product card modules to streamline information presentation and reduce excessive scrolling. This allowed users to access more content in a compact space without feeling overwhelmed. Additionally, I implemented a clear hierarchy, keyboard navigation, and text alternatives to ensure usability for all visitors. Each design choice focused on balancing visual appeal with functionality, creating an intuitive layout that met diverse user needs. The redesigned homepage successfully addressed the initial challenges by delivering a polished, engaging, and accessible user experience. Navigation became more intuitive, key information was easily accessible, and the user journey felt streamlined.
